Cash purchase of dilapidated bungalow in 2008, complete with caravans within an Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in 9 acres.
Planning was submitted for a new build house 8,000 sq ft. Environmental considerations included construction of a heated bat box within the external garaging.
We used a little know survey of land from 1942 pre planning laws to ascertain the land usage in 1942. From this it became clear that the agricultural footprint was smaller than the full site area allowing the council to grant permission for us to move the house centrally into the land.
Obtained permission in 2009 for a five bed house with indoor full size swimming pool and detached garage.
The house was built and completed by 2011. The house was heated via a Ground Source Heat pump.
